Reserve parachute «Smile» is intended to provide a safe landing in case of failure of the main parachute.Reserve parachutes series «Smile», being a large-scale copies of each other, represent a 7-sectional wings rectangular shape with an elongation of 2.1. Canopy of each parachute includes upper and lower shells connected ribs, and includes eight power (ribs, which are attached with straps) and 7 non-power ribs. To improve the performance of the parachute intermediate rib of the canopy are shortened.
The canopies of the parachutes are made of the high-strength parachute fabric type F111 with low air permeability.
Lines (4 rows) are made of Microline (high modulus polyethylene) strength 430daN.
To reduce aerodynamic loadings in the process of filling in the parachute lines mounted device jacks - a slider.
