Parachute system Centaur, Centaur-M, is designed for airdrops by specialists with a set of necessary equipment equipped and non-equipped aircrafts during training jumps on limited grounds. The system provides performance of different types parachute jumps with the input of the main parachute of static line with stabilized parachute or with hand opening of the main parachute.
Parachute system Centaur-T is designed to educate skydivers with no experience of skydiving on parachute systems type "wing". System provides performance of parachute jumps with input of the main parachute with static line or with stabilized parachute.
Container Centaur is available in 3 modifications:
- «Centaur» with flight weight up to 135 kg;
- «Centaur-M» with flight weight up to 160 kg;
- «Centaur-T» with flight weight up to 150 kg;
- forced opening with pulled-out link;
- with using stabilized parachute;
- hand opening by soft pilot chute;
RS Centaur provides following input type:

- Harness «Centaur» patent construction is combined with container «Tandem», where the main parachute is placed in the upper compartment
- For the connection with stabilized parachute instead of double-cone lock with tough frame is used, placed in upper compartment;
- Harness «Centaur», «Centaur-M» provides reliable mounting of cargo container GK-30, chest containers GKN-30, GUK-3M etc.
- Harness «Centaur», «Centaur-M», Centaur-T», provides comfortable location of parachutist with height from 155 to 220 cm.;
- Open link «Transit» allows to make input of the reserve parachute after release of the main parachute;

For the main parachute system:- work on the altitude 600...4000m with input of the main parachute after 5s landing on the stabilized parachute during the jump on the aircraft speed from 38,9 till 111,1 m/s (140...400 km/h) on the gauge, also work with immediate input with a delay of valves on the speed from 38,9 till 62,5 m/s (140...225 km/h);
- at that max overloads appearing at the time of the opening is less then 10;
- minimum safe altitude of jump 600 m above the landing area of the horizontally flying airplane at a speed of 140 ... 400 km / h on the gauge with the input of the main parachute after 5 s with a landing on the stabilizing parachute;
- during immediate input on the flight speed till 225 km/h minimal safe altitude 400 m;
- control of parachute system with 2 lines;
- the average value of the vertical component of the rate of landing at the fully released control lines mode, cast to an international standard atmosphere, not more than 5.2 m / s;
- the maximum value of the horizontal velocity component of the fully released planning steering lines not less than 11.3 m / s;
- the implementation prelanding maneuver, the horizontal velocity component of planning is reduced to zero;
- the safety landing when the wind near the ground up to 15 m / s with a call to the target parachutist against the wind;

- disconnecting the main parachute from the harness on the ground and in the air;
- operation input of the parachute system by the pulling-out disconnection link, also disconnection of the failed parachute from the harness by disconnection link, stroke, necessary for the pulling the links, - not more then 157H.
Assigned lifetime - 500 uses, then - by the technical conditions.
For the spare RS:
- work on the altitude up to 4000m as an immediate input, and with a delay of the valves opening on the flight speed from 140 till 225 km/h; at that max overloads appearing at the time of the opening is less then 10;
- work when the main parachute is completely disconnected only;
- minimum safe altitude of jump 150m m above the landing area at the immediate input on thу airspeed 180km/h;
- turn around 360 degrees, retracting one of the control lines for the time to 8s;
- the average value of the vertical component of the rate of landing at the fully released control lines mode, cast to an international standard atmosphere, not more than 5.5 m / s;
- the average value of the horizontal velocity component of the fully released planning steering lines not less than 10m / s;
- the safety landing when the wind near the ground up to 15 m / s with a call to the target parachutist against the wind;
- working temperatures from minus 40 till plus 40оС;
- input with a stroke not more then 157H;
- input as an disconnection link of the reserve parachute and by the scheme "Transit" after the release of the main parachute;
- ADD use, type «CYPRES» semiautomatic PPK-U-165A-D or PPK-UVr-165 to duplicate entry of the main parachute.
