Joy (EN-B)

Joy - is a modern glider with the highest combination safety and flying characteristics - designed for a wide range of pilots: excellent flight graduates of schools, with flight hours not less than 20 hours; the weekend pilots, regularly supporting their qualifications; as well as experienced pilots who prefer safe, but quality of the flight.

Conception

Paragliding Joy has a moderate elongation that gives it safety, pleasant control and comfort in the flight. At the same time, Joy has outstanding for its class flight characteristics due to the modern technologies in it and decisions. There by, the high performance characteristics of the paraglide Joy obtained with minimal compromise to safety.

TECHNOLOGIES

To improve aerodynamic efficiency (especially when using the accelerator) paragliding Joy was drastically reduced resistance of the lines. The canopy except some central sections, has just 3 rows of lines. The combination of three-row scheme and lines from Liros (with the best ratio on the market thickness / strength) yielded a record low total resistance of the lines. A significant incrementation in flight characteristics of Joy became possible due to a better understanding of aerodynamics "soft wing" and the using of these knowledge in the design of the glider.

It is new more optimal use of semi-rigid inserts (woods), more difficult inner structure and fabric allocation, availability of tail wedges. Appearance of serial product with complex, but at the same time very accurate internal wing became possible by the use of the automatic cutting complex on our factory.

Tangible successes we have achieved in reducing the weight of the wing, which also plays an important part in improving the flight characteristics and enhance the safety of paraglide flight. For example, using only SOFTLINK instead of metal connectors for connecting lines gave us a competitive gain in weight is about 100g. As a result, Joy has one of the best results of weight for today.

MATERIALS

When designing Joy we did not use any "lightweight materials" that will inevitably reduce the resource and strength. All materials used in the Joy - "traditional". Traditionally, high quality, strength and durability. These materials are used in our other gliders (including models for "super heavy trikes") and have an excellent reputation. This allows to talk about the highly anticipated new resource of paraglide.

SAFETY

The main time and effort of our team on the final design of the paraglider Joy were aimed at obtaining the required level of security. High aerodynamic characteristics were predictably obtained with the first prototype. High aerodynamic characteristics were predictably obtained with the first prototype.

But the great aerodynamic efficiency has a downside - a negative impact on safety. Such a high-quality glider better stores energy and when released in the degraded state more "bite" and "shoots", has a sharp, aggressive behavior, which will inevitably degrade safety. In paragliding Joy, we applied a new concept of security, first successfully employed by us to improve the stability of flight valve kites. The essence of the concept is that the transition in the degraded state wing independently worsens aerodynamic efficiency and high performance of the "glider" turns into a viscous "dubolet." But the return to normal flight wing automatically restores its volatility. The result of applying this concept to the glider was softer and humane behavior Joy in extreme situations, when the rough piloting, increased turbulence, while maintaining high flight characteristics of the wing.

ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS

Security, manageability, high flight performance, comfort in the air - all important characteristics of a paraglider Joy. But have not been deprived of attention and "nice things." Especially for Joy, we have developed a new, expressive design, new, easy-to-use control knobs, as well as another innovation - a system of fast packing.
